Here , let me write about more bands .
They are not Mersey Beat groups .
But I love them a lot!


Bay City Rollers/ The Buster  /The Monkees　/
The Raspberries　/The Knack /
The Rutles/The Robinoos

The Bay City Rollers 

When I was 14 , Roller Manias were all over Japan.
I guess they were all over the world.
Many people say they were just a group for kids who don't no much 
about music.
But I don't agree.

They played Let's pretend  ( Originally by The Raspberries), and the 
arrengement is very beautiful.
Also Pat McGlynn played Walk in the Room .
Ian Mitchell played I go to pieces.
They sure  picked up the kind of music I like .

The Buster

They got popular a little after BCR.
They are from Liverpool and their harmony was beatuful !
They had a radio show in Japan .And I listened to it every week!!

I happen to know through internet  that one of the member is 
still playing in a band and also owns a record company.

The Monkees

In Japan, we had rerun of Monkees Show .
And teenage girls went crazy with them .
So Davy Jones came and gave a concert and many 
high school girls screamed "Davy～～～!!!" knowing 
he was almost 40 at that time and have some children .
It was kind of funny.

Daydream Believer is very popular but , I love  When love comes 
Knockin at your door  the best.

The Raspberries

YES! Let's pretend is a fabulous song indeed!
 I also like Eric Carmen's solo works, such as Change of heart, 
Never gonna fall in love again,That's Rock'n roll.....many more!

The  Knack

My Sharona was a big hit ...and ..That's all..
Well well I don't think so .
They have lots of sweet and wondrful love songs.
Their new album Zoom is fantastic!

The Rutles

I know some Beatles fans go crazy about The Rutles.
Maybe I'm one of them .
I watched the TV show All you need is cash so many times .
I can see they really love The Beatles .

The Robinoos

Not many Japanese people konw about this band .
It was almost 20 years ago when I was in love with The Bay City Rollers , 
I happened to see a picture of this band . And the members were quite 
good looking. So I decided to buy thier record . " Back to the drawing board"
It is a fabulous album and I still love this album.
I was so happy to find out that they are still playing!
